Programming Path

and the Art path are the two main paths in GameReady.

In the programming path you will learn how to pull the ropes behind the scenes, to determine what happens, when it happens and how it happens;
Almost everything is possible to implement in computer games, and you will set the rules – some kind of a small god in the world you create.
Programming is what injects life into the characters and moves them.

(If you are experienced with Unity – here is a link for a Conversion to UE path)

Among other things, you will learn:

  • Using the Unreal Engine 5:
    the most powerful and advanced engine ever created, leading the GameDev world for over 20 years already, and upgrades every few months, with the entire gaming industry in tow.
    The engine is the core of the game, and what brings together all the parts of the game.
  • Visual programming in Unreal Engine Blueprints:
    In which you can see changes in real time  – i.e. operate the game you build and play it during the devlopment!
    This is an excellent language, which will surprise you in how much you can do with it from the very first lesson!

  • C++ programming language:
    The stronget lanuage in the computer world (used for the creation Unreal Engine, Chrome, Windows, Android and tens of thousands other computer programs).
    C++ brings the best performance and at the same time, it’s the most difficult language to learn (and worth every moment, as it is a nuclear bomb with no competition in sight).
    In addition we will learn add ons to C++ which are used specifically for game development on Unreal Engine.

  • VR games development
    We teach VR (Virtual Reality) as an optional part of the program if the student has access to VR.
    HTV Vive / Oculus Rift / Oculus Quest and their “friends”.
  • Work with the next generation of graphics, Unreal Engine 5, which broke all the limits:

In Addition

Like in all paths in GameReady, you will learn unique methods in the subjects:

  • Team Work
  • Problem Solving
  • Project Planning
  • Technical English
  • Startup Building
  • Portfolio Preparation
  • Tools for Self-efficacy
  • Result Oriented Thinking
  • Making Good Money from GameDev

and more quality and interesting stuff that will help you a lot through your entire life. And you will learn all this remotely! So we'll leave the icing on the cake to the lessons. Oh, and the completion of each path grants you a diploma! which proves the training by GameReady 😉

And in short:

The current round of registration is full - you should reserve a place for the next round that will start on - 24/12/2024.

(Even now, the amount of remaining places is very limited)

In addition to the excellent lessons which teach a lot about the game development and graphics world, the team passing them is a dedicated team. The teachers are not only teachers, but are also mentors and friends. You cannot describe the experience in words. You need to try to understand. Everybody who loves the computers world and especially the game building field has to try. Really fun.
