Sound-Art Path
In the Sound-Art Path you will learn how to design and produce music and effects (SFX), for computer games and for other fields like the movie indusry, advertising etc.
You will learn how to turn any vocal effect and musical idea you can imagine into a reality in a digital form and play it to others.
The game world begins mute and emotionless, and awaits you to create the perfect atmosphere, which will excite or scare the players, stress them when necessary, or calm them when it's the right thing.

Among other things, you will learn:
Using the Ableton Live Software
One of the strongest programs in the musical production field, used by the biggest names in the industry (Armin van Buuren, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Diplo...)
We will use the software to create music and effects.
It can be used to edit sounds, record and create new sounds from scratch.
Creation of Sound Effects (SFX)
Any unique sound from a gunshot and steps in the desert, to a powerful orchestra, even if you don't have a gun, a desert or an orchestra at home😉 You can create the sounds of a fierce battle from vegetables like lettuce and celery. Look how they did "Batman: Arkham City":
Game Integration
Connecting the sound to the game and its logic, like increasing the breathing pace of the character during an exciting battle, or the growing whistle from a hand grenade explosion. The sound intergration is done in Unreal Engine.
External Software
(VST Plugins)
There are several plugins for the Sound Editing software, but especially, sound processors (compressor, EQ, Gate, etc.), effects (plunger, delay, bitcrusher etc.) and virtual instruments which allow you to reach nearly every instrument from your fingertips, from a piano to a booming orchestra!
Using the FMOD Software
An industry standard sound engine, which can be inserted into the game to achieve even better results in integration.
Path Requirements
In addition to the usual requirements of GameReady,
acceptance to this path depends on previous musical background (home experience counts as background as well).
* If you can play the guitar, piano or any other instrument at any level, you meet this requirement.
