Two ways in

Work with us once or ongoing

One act

A single raise

A crowdfunding campaign we run end to end, or a match to the right publishers and investors. One goal, one engagement, and we are paid out of the result.

Ongoing

Ongoing advisory

We join your side for the long run: strategy, company structure, business planning, and the mentoring that accelerates your studio. Fundraising is part of it, not the whole of it.

That is the outline, not the offer. We evaluate collaborations with every studio uniquely, and we structure them so we only do well when you do. The call is where we help you kick it off: you leave with a read on your own position, and we both find out whether there is a match worth working on together.

Straight answers

What everyone asks first

Do you only do crowdfunding?

No. Crowdfunding is one route. We also run investor and publisher matching, and we take on ongoing advisory where fundraising is one part of the work rather than all of it. Not sure which one fits your game? Bring it to the free consultation and we will work that out with you, at no cost and with no obligation.

Does a crowdfunding campaign replace a publisher?

No, it is the step before one. A funded campaign is the evidence that makes the publisher conversation go well, and it usually improves the terms you are offered. We wrote a whole post on why that order matters: crowdfunding is stage one, not a last resort.

What does Kickstarter take, and what do you earn?

Kickstarter charges a 5% platform fee plus payment processing. Our own share is mostly a success fee on what you raise, and we evaluate every case individually to see what work it actually needs, so there is no single number to quote. What we can tell you is the comparison that matters: even with our work included, what you keep from a campaign is better than the 30% Steam takes. And because our share rides on the result, it is squarely in our interest to take on only the games we genuinely believe will run a strong campaign.

Does the game have to be finished before a crowdfunding campaign?

No! And it should not be. Campaigns fund the work that is still ahead of you. The question is whether what you have is visual and interesting enough to make backers trust you with it.

Can we run a crowdfunding campaign and an Early Access release?

Yes. They do different jobs, and sequenced well each one feeds the other. Which order suits your game is exactly the kind of thing worth brainstorming with us on the call, because the answer changes with the genre, the build and the audience you already have.

Our game is mobile or free-to-play. Is there anything here for us?

Yes, on the advisory and investor side. Crowdfunding typically will not fit a free-to-play mobile title, unless yours is a special case, and we will tell you which it is early rather than sell you a campaign that cannot work.

How do you decide who you work with?

We look at your case first. The consultation goes both ways: you get a read on where you stand and what to do next, and we find out whether this is a studio we want to raise money alongside. If it is not a match, you come out smarter for free 💪

What does it cost to work with you?

Mostly a success fee, so the bulk of what we earn depends on your raise working. There is a small prepayment, credited against that fee rather than added to it, and on ongoing advisory a small equity stake so we are holding the same outcome you are. Actual numbers depend on your game and your goal, and you get them in writing once we have looked at it properly.
